Myrtle Beach

So, a few things have sort of fallen off my own personal radar lately, and one of them (as you may have noticed) is the blog! I've just been a bit tired and to me, if I can get out there and do something with Jacob that's a great accomplishment-- let's be honest, add in taking pictures and it might just set me over the edge.

Well, actually, I do have a few pictures which have been hanging around for a while without a proper post on the blog. (Did I forget to mention that aside from laziness, another thing getting in my way is my non-existent computer?) These are from our trip down to Myrtle Beach a couple weeks ago with my mom. We had a great week and the weather was really nice! Waiting 'til after labor day is certainly the way to go with a beach vacation!

Grammy and Jacob playing "Go Fish". Jacob has a very particular way of playing, with certain card sets that only HE gets to have---so if you have the card to complete his set, you had better wait until he asks you for it---not the other way around!

Caitlin came down for a couple days and helped Jacob build a championship sand castle, decked out in seashells someone (ME) had to go around and collect.

We went to Wilmington one night to eat with Caitlin and Caleb . While there, Jacob likes to check out Caleb's law enforcement paraphernalia!

The like 4 foot shark that a fisherman caught on the beach one morning.

Jacob in the palm of a hand at Broadway

Putt-putting at Jacob's choice course--the dinosaur one! Here's a shocker for you though: one of the big [fake] t-rexes moved his mouth periodically and roared...it was terrifying for Jacob. In fact, it was SO scary, that Jacob would hit his ball one time and then pick up his ball and not finish the hole for about 5 holes in a row. (He did eventually realize that the dinosaur was not real and it was cool)

The only picture of the 2 of us--sorry Jacob's not looking!

Jacob and Grammy showing off their golfing gear--just like Jacob had suggested.

The day before we left Miranda and Cohen came over to play at the beach and hang out! Here they are cheesing for the camera.

Gallivanting

Check out this sweet action shot--they were throwing themselves belly down in the water/sand!

Driving cars on the "road"--aka Grammy's bed

Checking out the view

And...some videos!!
