300th POST!!!!

It feels like just yesterday that I was writing a similarly titled "200th Post!!!!" post... here we are today at the big 300.  Tears are streaming down my face as I write this.

Now enough of all that sentimental blogging.  On to the pictures!

And now, the O.T.P.S (obligatory Thomas photo shoot):

Febraury 16-19

Yes, that title means I have zero creativity in me right now.  Brace yourself for the most boring commentary accompanying these pictures ever.

This may seem like just another shot of our bedroom, but no no--look again.  There's a new mattress under those covers!  We got that bad boy delivered Wednesday--exciting thing #1 from the week.
P.S. Tempurpedic is changing our (sleeping) lives as we speak.

Like I have been known to do in the past, here is my depiction of Jeff and me at dinner Wednesday night...since we didn't take a picture.  Mandy was soooo kind as to come over and watch Jacob and Thomas for us while we went out and had a little grown people lovey dovey time!  Exciting thing #2 for the week.

This is what I found when I came out of the bathroom the other morning.  Jacob was trying to help Thomas stop crying, so he buckled him (correctly and securely) into his car seat and was dragging him around the house.  He also offered him his blanket to help calm him down---all in all, it worked!

So, one microsoft paint picture a night is enough for me...but we went and met some friends for lunch at the little cafe close to our house---just imagine how cute we were, dining outside with 4 kiddies in the 70 degree weather!  After that, we went back across the street and met another friend I just met at the park this week and her son for a little more playtime!  Here they are playing on the swings (yes, this is the only picture I got of this--I'm not so hot wielding a camera and baby at the same time.).  There was LOTS of jumping off high places, digging in the sand, throwing some sand (oops), screaming about tornados coming, etc.  It's pretty entertaining! Exciting things #3 and 4.

And then, here is the obligatory Thomas photo shoot:

Jacob finished off the lovely weather day with a little swinging in the backyard with the setting sun in the background.  How picturesque of him.

Today, although cooler than yesterday, was still nice- so we headed to First Landing to check out some trails and stuff.  Here is Jacob in some sort of wanna-be Native American hut thing.

Jacob scooting around on a fallen tree and Jeff capturing the moment in a most artistic way!

Walking up the log (what a profound caption)

Valentine's Gifts for the Boys and All of You Too!

Here's what Jacob got for Valentine's Day:

And here's what Thomas got:

Yea, we went all out on Thomas' first Valentine's!  Ha--I had known before we had Thomas that I wanted to get a jogging stroller this go-round and decided that this was the brand I wanted to try to find.  I was obviously not looking to pay retail on this bad boy, so I kept scouring Craigslist...just waiting to pounce on one.  Well, I'm not very good at Craigslist, because I told my friend Jaime that I wanted one and she got online, found this one, e-mailed the gal to be sure she still had it...and the rest is history!  Thank goodness for Jaime!  But yea, the girl I got it from said that she only used it on three occasions and then decided she didn't want to put her kid in a stroller anymore...I don't know why people spend that kind of money and then let something just sit (and as you can see from the picture, that's really all it did-the wheels aren't worn and there's not a stain on the thing!)--but hey, it worked out pretty well for me and Thomas today!  So, if you gave Thomas money at his birth, this is what your money went toward!!

And here are a few more pictures from the past two days:

Super Bowl Cute!

Check out how much these two babies look alike:

And of course, a picture of the brothers in their matching outfits.  They wore these to Bible study the other day.  Jacob was so excited that they were going to be matching that he got both of his teachers to come out in the hallway, had me take Thomas out of the car seat, and he held him so they could see that he knew how to...and that they looked alike!

Some Pictures to Make You Smile

Yes, he's really this precious in real life

Yes, he's really this precious in real life (Kristi--this is Matt's suit!  Can you even believe Jacob is wearing this?  It literally seems like yesterday when we were going through stuff thinking it would be a lonnnnnngggg ways out before he fit in any of it!)

 Constantly telling somebody something!

 Into their movie

In case you were wondering, I needed to get a bath ready for Thomas, so I gave him to Jacob and they watched Cars together for probably 10 minutes.  Thomas was loving it--Jacob was getting antsy with "such a heavy brother" on him!  Haha, just wait Jacob!

2 Month Check Up

Thomas' 2 month stats:

Weight: 11 lbs. 8 oz  (yowzers!  he's gained 4.5 pounds since birth!)
Length:  23 inches (grown 3.5 inches since birth)
Head circumference: 15 inches

He's in 50th percentile(ish) for all three measurements so he's well proportioned, we'll say.

He also had to get a few shots, which Jacob LOVED.  A little sinister, yes.  See, Jacob had to go last week to get his 4 year vaccinations, so he knew he had nothing to worry about at Thomas' appointment.  He asked like 18 times if Thomas knew he was getting lots of shots.  He asked if he could sit on the table to watch while Thomas got his shots.  No?  Well then he asked if he could stand by the doctor when she gave him his shots.  No again?  Well then he asked if he could at least stand by the table while the shots were administered.  He wanted to be all up in Thomas'  business while he was having his turn on the shot table.  Thomas did fine with his shots- in fact I am guessing he cried less than Jacob did when he got his!
