Tom Tom turns the BIG 1!

It's official!  Thomas is now one!  As in one year old.

We didn't do a big party or anything like that (no biggie, he had already celebrated with both sides of the family prior to the big day)...we were supposed to have our small group over here tonight and eat some cake with the little guy, but I got paranoid that he had an ear infection (probably because Jacob got an ear infection on his first birthday), and called off the shin dig over here for tonight and scheduled a sick visit at the doctor's today...and found out that he's fine...like nothing's wrong at all. (Did find out weight on his birthday...20 pounds 7.5 oz) Oh well, better safe than sorry?  I will probably have to apologize to Thomas one day for not having properly celebrated his first year of life.

It was still a fancy little day, between our doctor's visit, grocery store run (where I left my wallet in the car...that was neat), some more Christmas decorating, and playing.  And Thomas still got to eat a cupcake I had frozen from his first birthday celebration, so it was all good.  This has been one heck of a year that Tom boy has been through with us here, and I couldn't be any more grateful to God for letting Jeff and me have Thomas in our family for this brief time here on earth!  He is PRECIOUS...and super jolly... and silly!  He loves that big brother of his like crazy, and has really been taken with his Daddy lately too!  He still likes me sometimes, but I can already see that he is loving having two big guys in the house to play with!  Thomas really is wonderful and we're thankful for each of our 365 days with him so far!

Here are a few pictures from Thomas' birthday parties with family; the Williamses, my side of the family, and then our nuclear partay!  I'll add more later...this is just a preview!

Celebrating before Thanksgiving with the Williams side...

Shocker of a lifetime:  Thomas LOVED sugar!

Poor guy kept wiping his face with his dirty hands!

And, last but not least, just half way enjoying his final cupcake on November 30, 2011 at his own house: (he didn't even finish it!)

More birthday/Thanksgiving pictures/our house decorated for Christmas pictures to come one of these days...

Ummmm...we're pretty much famous

Check us/Barnsley Gardens Resort out:

Georgia Traveler - Barnsley Gardens

After seeing the final product, I feel as though it is ultra creepy...Jeff, on the other hand, was relieved that it wasn't as creepy as he had been anticipating (they shot some REALLY close up shots of us being snuggly at the candlelit table)...you'll just have to watch it and see what you think!

PS- I have a ton of pictures from the past few weeks and will probably get around to posting them eventually (how's that for vagueness?).

Beautiful Play Day!

These past few days have been just beautiful around here and the boys and I have spent most of the afternoons outdoors.  Today, we had the added blessing of having our sweet friends come join us to play!  It is so cool to be able to sit outside, in the sun, with the leaves all bright and colorful, and watch four little kids run around and play sweetly together, while I get the company of a wonderful and encouraging friend...now if this is not a day to be thankful for, I don't know what would be! Thank you Lord for moving us here to this exact town, in this exact house and providing us all with great friends in the Hall family!   Here are some pictures of Jacob and Thomas and MK and Abigail living it up in the backyard!

Little bunny hopper, hopping all over the yard, searching for her meal of leaves!

For Ritchie:  a quick shot to capture the way your wife lets your precious daughter go out and about...jammies and boys tennis shoes! GASP!!!

Old Tom may or may not have been eating dirt...his face would suggest that yes, he has been eating dirt!

Two little buddies!  This morning Jacob said , "Mom it's really amazing how the first time I ever saw Mia Katheryn I was at my swim lesson and didn't even know her and the next time I saw her I went to vacation Bible school with her and I just loved her!" (said in his very matter-of-a-fact, grown up voice)

Bahahahha!!!  Look at Abigail manhandle that lawnmower!  INCREDIBLE!

Heading off into the bunny den

Abigail takes Thomas out with a single pass of the mower!

Check out the look of sheer determination!
