Mouse Update
To quell all fears you readers may have of our mouse situation...Jeff is now driving my car and I am driving his. That's about the only really sure thing I can say about this! He put some mouse traps in the trunk yesterday, to no avail, and pulled all the flooring and seats out of my car last night to try to find the little guy. The mouse was not anywhere to be found...but we do have a very clean interior now! In all actuality, we are thinking the mouse probably bolted at some point yesterday when we were trying to capture him...hopefully he jumped out while Jeff was driving to Clemson so he's not still at our house, lurking in the shadows...

EEK!! A Mouse!!
Jacob and I were getting some stuff out of the trunk this morning before we were planning on going for a walk, when I saw a MOUSE running around in the trunk!! AGHHHHh!! Turns out, he had made a little home in the bottom of Jacob's stroller! Jeff had to come home early to deal with this situation...and he came equipped with mouse traps. So far, the mouse is still on the loose, somewhere in the trunk/car!! I will keep you posted as to how this whole situation works out!!

Having a Ball

Today, Miranda, Bailey and Cohen came to play! Besides being super active, the three also took some time out to pose for the camera and be super cute!! Here are some pictures of the kids sitting in the cool expandable ball thing (courtesy of Jerry and Teri, of course)!

Yet ANOTHER lovely little Saturday
Jacob asking the little kids who have gathered around his ice cream truck what flavor they would like.I don't want any of our single/unmarried/without children friends (that is pretty much all of our friends) to be jealous, but Jeff, Jacob, and I had a really lovely little Saturday again this weekend! We rode up with Jeff's old boss, Dusty, to Hickory, NC to go pick out our wedding bands at his in-laws jewelry store. Jeff's parents met us there to wander around with Jacob while we picked out our love bands (that's right, that's what I called 'em). So we found our rings, and off we went to the mall! Oh wait!! No, we went to eat at Longhorns (now you're jealous!)-in honor or Judy and me (since we are the mothers of the bunch!)! The group sang "For She's a Jolly Good Fellow", etc. and we ate!*We went to JC Penny and got Jacob some new sandals, and then we just wandered with the other families, who also chose to spend their Saturdays at the mall, and every Hispanic person in North Carolina...at least I think it was all of them. THENNNNNNNNN we rode back home and played in the backyard...with several of Jacob's balls of course...we don't play outside without at least one ball, because that would be the worst!
*NOTE: this did not actually happen, it is how I would have wanted it to happen.
PS: Against his will, I stuck my finger in Jacob's mouth today, just to check things out, since I hadn't done so in at least a month...and do you know what he was hiding in there? He had another tooth on the top! I only got to feel that one spot before he tried to bite me, so who knows-he could be hiding three more teeth in there! I wouldn't doubt it! He is sneaky.
Anyway, here are some pictures of Jacob driving some random vehicles at the mall, and some pics of us outside, chasing balls and stuff:
I figured out that I can lift Jaocb onto my shoulders, which will really change the way that Jacob and I spend our days!Thursday, May 8, 2008
Alas, bowling videos for the masses!
Jacob picks up the spare like the pro he is.
Sam picked up on the whole bowling deal quickly.

Bowling Buddies

This is about as close as you are going to get to a cute pic of the two boys! They're too busy to pose for pictures!
Yesterday Jacob and I went bowling at Jeff's work...and Jacob invited a friend (and when I say "Jacob invited", I mean "I invited"). This was Sam's first bowling experience and it didn't take him long to warm up to the whole idea! Jacob, since he's an old pro in the bowling department, took off toward the bowling alley the instant we set foot in the door, squealing the whole way. (The happiness was relatively short lived...He had other plans for his time)
We took lots of pictures of Sam and Jacob, as well as lots of videos, so you can feel as though you were there bowling with us! (I take that back, we evidently took no pictures of Jacob, but we do have videos of him!)
Jacob and Jeff putt putting from last year...
Just another video test. If we are lucky we will post some videos of Jacob and Sam bowling from yesterday.

Jacob appreciates ALL of God's great gifts!
We had a lovely little morning of consignment shopping, toting Jacob around a bookstore (he was of course wiggling, and kicking, trying to escape the clutches of our arms, so he could touch all of the books), and then letting Jacob play unattended at the train table at a cooool toy store in Seneca! We concluded our morning with a trip to Pizza Buffet--the jewel of Seneca's dining scene! Anyway, Jacob ate a breadstick, the olives off several slices of pizza, and then, here comes the good part-a dessert pizza. Now this dessert pizza had some custard like stuff in it...I don't really know what it was, but it was delicious...and Jacob obviously thought so too! While he was holding his little piece in both his hands, he bowed his head, and closed his eyes and said, "meh meh". Now, this probably means nothing to you all, but that is how Jacob says "Amen". So....Jeff and I may have been going out on a limb here, but we interpreted this little scenario as Jacob being so thankful to God for giving him his dessert pizza, that he stopped eating-paused-closed his eyes-and said "Amen"! wahahahahahhaha!!!!
