Cooper's Furnace
With the beautiful 80 degree weather this morning, we decided to head out to Cooper's Furnace and hike that trail. We got a little "turned around" while out there and ended up hiking a lot further than we had the first time...but it was fine...it was a lovely day and nice to just be outside, not sweating to death and enjoying each other's company! While I towed the babe-in-pack, Jeff hauled his camera equipment, and Jacob toted around his re-hydration and snack backpack! We were all loaded down...well, all of us except Thomas! Way to not pull your own weight TOM! Anyway, here are some pictures that Jeffrey managed to snap in between trucking it up the trail:
Jacob wore his America outfit today
View of Allattoona Lake and Dam
THE Furnace...aka, Cooper's Furnace
Jacob looking all silly by a stream
All three of us looking silly by the stream
Truckin' it to the top
Panoramic View from up top
Nice shot of the dam and the lake
Flags
All 4 of us!
Thomas is getting a little sleepy at this point...
Almost back
And, he's out!!
Week 4 of Homeschoolin'!
This week was a good, fun, and productive week at home...what more could I ask for?! We did all sorts of random stuff and managed to learn a few things too! Here are Jacob's weekly videos:

Memory Verse #4: (that's right, he's already memorized 4 verses this month, with the help of the CD!)

Memory Verse/Week 3 of Jacob's Schoolin'
Here is Jacob's memory verse from last week:
Last week we spent our time reading and reviewing numbers 11-19...those teen numbers can be tricky to read! We're on to some new stuff this week, so we'll have to see how it goes!

Flash Dance!
Jeff was dancing for joy when his camera flash arrived this past week! He assured me this will enhance the quality of his pictures exponentially...and after one day of playing around with it, I think he might just be on to something! Here are a few shots from around the house:
Thomas has quite the expressive face these days! This is his "getting ready to snort" face.
So, this is what he's been doing in between bites and as food is coming to his mouth...he's been playfully closing his eyes and kind of fluttering his eyelashes, like he can't see the food or something. This just kills me whenever he does it! (and yes, he was eating meatloaf with egg noodles, parsley and feta in this particular meal)
We also know another fellow who is a man of many expressions!
BAHAHAHA!!!
Another silly face Thomas likes:

Whatever
I am thinking of titling my posts with the date...that would be easier and more exciting than anything I can come up with lately. SERIOUSLY!
A few highlights from our past week:
1.) We went to Pageland for Jeff's Grandma's birthday partayyyyyy!! and to sell my Honda..tears are streaming, no really, they kind of are...
2.) On the way back home we "stopped through" Clemson to eat lunch...and to peruse the shops D.T.
3.) We also did a bang up job at the Commerce outlets on the way back home.
4.) Jacob was ready to be recorded doing his second memory verse from last week:
5.) Jeff and I both ordered our anniversary presents and there will be pictures soon...hopefully.
6.) Jeff also took a few artistic shots while in Pageland...he's brushing up on his photo-skills!
He's doing a pretty good job with the old camera these days! These are just shots from around his parent's house, by the way.

Jacob (and Thomas!) had a big time in Grandma and Papa's new-to-them pool! (and I took this picture! WHAT WHAT!!)
Jacob sitting on his "swing"
Bobbing around in the pool
Hanging those toes in the pool with Grandma
Looking mighty presh as usual!
Doing a little surgery/operation...
Goodbye Old Faithful...I have loved you like a child (not really like a human)
So, Thomas may or may not put EVERYTHING in his mouth
Having a big time!
Wow, things just got really serious!
This got out of control pretty quickly:
Don't mind the baby floating around all by his lonesome in the pool
Our GIANT (and rather modelesque) 4 1/2 year old!
Time for Great Grandma's birthday party and the balloon fights. Jacob and Daniel vs. All the Balloons
Andrew is ready to get his GRUB on!
Future NBA players taking a time out for photo op. After I took this picture, Jacob was quick to let me know that he posed like that because that's how real basketball players look... Ballin' in their white shorts and polos.
Family shot!
Jacob and Abigail
Jeff and some babes
Jacob and Papa picking some watermelons
Thomas went berserk when Abigail came around...he gave her numerous kisses on her head and just yelled at her (in a loving way)!
