So long Camera!
Yep, in usual Wednesday afternoon-getting-ready-for-small-group-fashion, things were not going as planned and I was trying to quickly toss junk out of the way to make room for about 14 people's bottoms on our floor. I grabbed the camera bag, thinking it was all zipped up nice and tight, safe and sound, but it wasn't...and that meant our camera dropped and the lens quickly broke off. SHOOTLES!!! I mean, we all know I have a real love/hate relationship with the ridiculously expensive camera...and yesterday, it became a more one-sided HATE I was feeling. I mean seriously, it's HUGE and awkward, so it has to have it's own suitcase practically, whereas my old point and shoots could just slide in my pocket, and I believe I mentioned that it's expensive...and I'm clumsy, which is why I urged Jeff to buy the high-end protection package for this bad boy, which he thankfully did do.
But, that leaves us in a predicament...no camera! We're hoping that the lens is still under warranty, so we'll see shortly about that, otherwise, no wide-angle lens up in these parts, just far-off shots with the big one. You might be wondering, "What does this mean for me? I don't care about Lindsey's clutziness!" Well, here's a bulleted list of how it will affect you, the 3 blog readers we have:

You might be wondering, "What does this mean for me? I don't care about Lindsey's clutziness!" Well, here's a bulleted list of how it will affect you, the 3 blog readers we have:
- since there will not be more pictures to upload for a while, I will be able to backtrack a couple weeks and get caught up on some posts, including Home Depot workshop, coloring brothers, and family time in S.C.
- On the off chance that there are any more pictures taken while we wait to see about our broken lens, you won't be catching any details of Thomas' cute baby teeth, or Jacob's fuzzy little head...they will all be far-off shots, probably of trees, and horizon lines and things of that nature that can be captured with a bigger lens. GET EXCITED!!
- Finally, you may be getting a sweet shot from the iphone or two...maybe. Brace yourself for graininess.
To get you excited about the potential changes you may be experiencing, here is an old shot for you (just ignore that random "Thomas' hand" on his coloring page...I had to fuse 2 pictures to get them both with their eyes open!):
