Hunting wild animals in our house
Jacob and MK at the science museum in town, digging for dinosaur fossils
Tommy trying hard to do the same...mostly, he gets fists full of sand and throws it out of the digging area.
The kids panning for gems- see what a good big brother Jacob is? Holding onto Thomas' overalls so I could come around a get a picture?
Doing a little bit of investigative work at the museum
Posing by Thomas' favorite part of the museum...the choo choo.
Grasshoppin' on park night for church
The ultimate getaway car
Right after I took this picture, Thomas was sproinged off into the atmosphere by his slightly weightier riding partner.
And then we had Amy, Andrew, Lisa and Abigail visit for a few days...and we bathed the children! ( and Thomas drank the bathwater, which I am thinking/hoping was before he stood up and peed in the tub)
This is like the cool table at storytime.
Playing in the fountains at the pool
Enjoying some bumblebee cookies on a swim break
And thennnnn we went to Pageland after the boys were there for a few days by themselves to celebrate Jeff's grandma's birthday! Andrew and Amy are all ready for the festivities.
Thomas liked to test his strength by carrying this giant bear
This is how Thomas felt after helping himself to a table full of desserts!
Getting tickles from Great Grandma
Great grandmother and grandson and great grandson
My children are so incredibly fortunate to have a mother like me...if I do say so myself.
Me and the ultimate studmuffin, the J-Bomber.
Posing high up in a stained glass window.
Just kidding!
Oh there's Jacob! I could have sworn we came with another kid! Guess he was off racing through the halls of the church with Daniel, working up a sweat when we were taking the other pictures!
Most of the grandkids/great grandkids
Just a-twirlin'!
Wait! What?! There's a bouncy house in the house!?!
Working on that perfect shot...
Still working...
Got it!
And then we left Pageland, and dropped Jacob off with my mom in Charlotte, and headed back home with Thomas! Taking a pit stop in Greenville to let him run around and get all his mountain lion out of him
Checking out the sights.
And checking out those magnificent birds, the PIGEONS!
Enjoying some water time
Waiting for the fountains to jump up sporadically and spray him
Waiting with much anticipation
And finally discovered that these fountains were the perfect drinking height. A note should be made that most of the other kids and parents stared at him/us while he was doing this...in the kind of way that made us wonder if they were just pumping in the river water and that's what he was drinking or what? Oh well...
Enjoying a fantastic ride on my shoulders.
Amazing what a little one on one time will accomplish! This was my goal for the end of the summer...to start taking off Thomas' floaties the beginning of August (which we did in the baby pool) so he could get the idea that he was going to sink if he didn't work to keep himself above the water, and then to work up to a little real swimming.
WARNING: MY VOICE IS SUPER LOUD AND ANNOYING, SO PLEASE TURN YOUR SPEAKERS DOWN!
And check out how cute this is! This just happened a few minutes ago, so you're practically watching a live feed! ("Wow, that Lindsey is so shockingly tech-savvy, I don't know what to do with her!" --says most people I meet)
