First trip to the pool of the year. They both still love the water. Jacob can still swim well and Thomas is still just fine and dandy with jumping in and attempting to swim with and without floaties. On another trip to the pool this year (thankfully it was one where Jeff was there too), Thomas was in the baby pool with me and James, practicing swimming without his floaties, when he jumped out of the water, ran to the big pool and jumped in...still without floaties! James was in his baby float, so i jumped out of the baby pool and ran and jumped in the big pool and got Tom. It was so funny how Thomas didn't even think for a second that he didn't have on floaties...he just went for it and was so sure of himself!

The unfortunate thing about James in the pool is not that he doesn't like the water, because, thankfully, like the other boys, he does, but that he doesn't like the float! He wants to be held and stick his face in the water, and splash,etc. This is not conducive for me taking three people to the pool, and attempting to bring three people safely home:)

Thankfully Jenny decided to take a few pictures with the baby AND me to show that I was a part of his young, baby life.

We went to Cloudland Canyon, in NW Georgia (I guess we technically live in NW Ga, but this is wayyy NW) the other weekend. We hiked down to a couple waterfalls which were so neat....the whole place was beautiful, as the pictures display!

This picture shows the stairs that we went down (and back up). Evidently there were 1,200+ stairs down, and Thomas and Jacob walked the whole way down AND back up! Thomas even had to be slowed down on the way back up!

There's this little place in Calhoun that I'd heard from some friends about. We finally went with some friends from church to check it out, and it did not disappoint! All of these mini architectural marvels are hand made by this guy, and the whole garden is a work in progress! In fact, some of our kids got put to work later in the day and worked to build a road. It was all fun and games for me until Jenny rushed off with James (who had been sitting in the grass a few feet off) who had a concrete covered butter knife in his mouth...
